Chloe Chandler, a Chicago-based dancer and choreographer, holds a B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
She currently dances as a main company member of South Chicago Dance Theatre where she’s had the opportunity to perform at Jacob’s Pillow, the Auditorium Theatre, the Jay Pritzker Pavillion, the Miller auditorium, and more. She most recently, debuted SCTD’s first solo in their repertoire at The Alvin Ailey Citygroup Theatre representing SCTD’s director and founder, Kia Smith, for Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” show. Chloe has also recently performed work by Sidra Bell, Shannon Gillen, Donald Byrd, Tsai Hsi Hung, Kia S. Smith, to name a few.
Chloe has been expanding her horizons internationally. She trained in Berlin, Germany at the B12 festival and got to perform in 5 shows with a work choreographed by Vim Vigor Dance Company’s director, Shannon Gillen. Additionally, she took part in Kia S. Smith’s ‘Choreographic Diplomacy’ where she performed and Collaborated with artists in Colombia, and will soon travel to South Korea and Vietnam for dance performances and collaborations.
Aside from her performance career, you can find Chloe teaching and choreographing regularly at Artflux Dance Lab, Performing Arts Dance Theatre, and All About Dance Chicago. Additionally, she has experience assisting industry-renowned figures such as Elizabeth Parkinson, Noel Bajandas, Will Johnston, Suzi Taylor, John Crutchman, among others.
